Artists Statement...

I have always referred to nature to ground and inspire me, allowing natural phenomena and found materials to direct my creative flow and unfold spontaneity. I also take great inspiration from community, especially communities of rave culture and music festivals. Because I document our fluctuating existence here on earth and my ever-changing life, this influences my style in a way where it is never fully established just like nature and life itself. As you can see on this site, throughout the years my style changes dramatically and I still expect this to be the case in the future. This is something I embrace as change is something I celebrate in my life. Organic phenomena has always been a dominant subject in my photography, paintings, films and sculpture. One of the themes I have covered so far in my artistic practice is union between spirit and earth and this has occupied the earlier stages of my art journey (2016-2020). These works express surreal mythological forms which later on developed into abstract representations of the mysterious, underlying laws of existence. In 2021 I explored masculine archetypes and expressing its symbiotic relationship with feminine archetypes. Currently (2022), I am exploring the symbiotic relationship between the organic and the artificial, nature and technology to be specific.
